The smart blue-green roof project RESILIO is a collaboration of the Municipality of Amsterdam, Waternet, MetroPolder Company, Rooftop Revolution, HvA, VU, Stadgenoot, the Alliantie and De Key. The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund through the Urban Innovative Actions Initiative.

As an institute of knowledge, the HvA is involved in the participation of residents and research into the effects of the roofs at the neighbourhood level. They also investigate how partners can best work together to make the project a success. The CAREM, Urban Management and Urban Technology departments are involved in RESILIO.
As a knowledge institution, VU University Amsterdam carries out research into the effects of the blue-green roofs on heat stress and water management. The Institute for Environmental Issues (IVM) is involved in this. The Water and Climate Risk and Environmental Policy Analysis departments participate in the research.
Housing corporation de Alliantie wants to learn more about blue-green roofs and participates in RESILIO with multiple roofs in the Oosterparkbuurt, Indische Buurt and the Rivierenbuurt.
